đ AtoANI is proud to continue advancing the Bohol Ube Project together with the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP), Eggzos Consulting, Bohol Ube Growers Association (BUGA), and Young Farmers Association Cooperative (YFAC), an initiative aimed at bringing the iconic heirloom ube kinampay and other purple yam or ube varieties from Bohol to the European market, while empowering local farmers and promoting sustainable agriculture.
In a recent engagement with the Bohol Island State University (BISU) Research, Innovation and Extension Office and the Provincial Government of Bohol, AtoANI alongside our partners from the ECCP and Eggzos Consulting, shared updates on the projectâs progress and discussed strategic next steps to scale impact.

Bridging Bohol Farms to European Demand
Through our partnerships with the Bohol Ube Growers Association (BUGA) and the Young Farmers Association Cooperative (YFAC), the project aims to develop a farmer-first, sustainable export model for ube powder, including:
Â
đ±Â Ube kinampay, known for its fragrant aroma, rich color, and cultural value
đ  Other high-quality ube varieties cultivated by Boholano farmers
Â
We are excited to share that interested buyers from Europe have already expressed strong demand, requesting consistent, sizable monthly shipments of ube powder starting with 1 ton/month to be scaled to 10 ton/month in the future alongside scaling production and processing. This presents a powerful opportunity to uplift local livelihoods, showcase Philippine agricultural excellence, and elevate Boholâs ube to a global market.
In Collaboration with Boholâs Leaders and Innovators
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the leaders who welcomed and supported this initiative:
·      Governor Erico Aris Aumentado
·      Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte
·      BEDIPO Head Maria Fe Dominise
·      BPTO OIC Joanne Pinat
·      OPA Larry Pamugas
·      BISU experts and researchers
Their support underscores a shared vision for inclusive agricultural development and Boholâs leadership in high-value crop innovation.
Call for Collaboration: Letâs Bring Bohol Ube to the World
To meet the growing export demand and ensure farmer participation in this opportunity, we are calling on stakeholders across the agri-value chain to get involved.
đ We are actively looking to collaborate with:
âïžÂ Growers and Farmers expanding ube production
âïžÂ Processors specializing in value-added ube products
âïžÂ Academe / Researchers supporting quality, traceability, and product development
âïžÂ Investors and market partners interested in sustainable, local-sourced ube powder
âïžÂ Supporters of Philippine agriculture and heritage crops
