AtoANI is proud to have participated in the “Get Involved, Be Among the Coco-Specialists and Be Evolved: Regional Training of Trainers on Coconut Production and Management” held last June 16 - 27, 2025 in Poblacion, Ubay, Bohol. Organized by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Region VII, this intensive learning program forms part of the broader Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), a national initiative to revitalize and future-proof the Philippine coconut industry.
Empowering a New Generation of Coco-Specialists
This 10-day program brought together diverse stakeholders, including farmers, learning site partners, and technical experts, all united by one goal: to build a strong pool of coco-specialists capable of delivering high-quality training and support to coconut farmers throughout the value chain.
AtoANI’s participation in this training aligns with our Bohol Office and Demo Farm’s recent accreditation as an ATI-accredited Coconut Learning Site for Agriculture (Coco-LSA), a recognition of our ongoing efforts to promote sustainable farming practices and empower rural communities through knowledge-sharing and innovation.
Our Commitment to the Coconut Industry
By joining this regional training, AtoANI continues to deepen its role in supporting the national coconut agenda, with a strong focus on:
📚 Farmer education and empowerment: equipping coconut farmers with practical, science-based techniques to improve productivity and sustainability.
🌾 Regenerative and climate-resilient farming: advocating for soil health, biodiversity, and climate-smart agriculture tailored to coconut-based systems.
🤝 Collaborative development: partnering with institutions, experts, and farmers to scale inclusive agricultural growth across the region.
This training is not only an opportunity for capacity-building but also a platform to strengthen local leadership in agriculture, ensuring that farmers become knowledge-bearers and drivers of innovation within their own communities.
What’s Next for AtoANI?
As we move forward, AtoANI is preparing to welcome learners to our learning site, co-develop new training programs, and roll out community-level support activities in partnership with ATI and other key stakeholders. We are excited about the possibilities this brings, not just for coconut farming, but for agriculture as a whole.
Whether you're a farmer, researcher, development partner, or just passionate about sustainable farming, we’d love to hear from you.
